E.L. Gilkeson Dies Suddenly
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon, Feb. 20, at the
Osceola Methodist church at 1:30 p.m., for E.L. Gilkeson, a longtime
employee of the Missouri Public Service company, who was found dead at
the power plant on the river Tuesday evening.
Rev. C. Fay Kessinger, pastor of the church, will officiate at the
services and burial will be made in the Rockville cemetery under the
direction of the Goodrich Funeral Home.
Stores in Osceola will close under proclamation of Mayor John Hailman
from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., in deference to the memory of Mr. Gilkeson,
who was currently serving a term as councilman from the south ward.
