Last rites for Milton Charles Lash, 69, who died Oct. 7 at Coal, were conducted by the Rev. R. I. Skaggs at 2:00 p.m., Oct. 9, at Sickman and Dunning Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Curt Davidson, Arthur Immele, Ed and Wilfred Dugan, Glenn Knaus and Jack Colson. Interment was in Westfield Cemetery near Ohio Post Office. Mr. Lash was born Jan. 2, 1892, at Gresham, Neb., the son of Charles and Lucy Campbell Lash. He lived the greater part of his life in the Montrose and Teays Chapel communities. A number of years ago he retired from farming and had made his home mainly in Clinton until two weeks before his death when he went to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Harbour at Coal. He had never married. In early days he united with the Teays Chapel Methodist Church. He leaves three brothers, Joe and Harry, Council Bluffs, Ia., Robert, Jamesport, Mo.; a sister, Mrs. Mildred Boyles, Lathrop, a number of other relatives and many friends.
