Randall Drew Jones, 58, passed away December 1, 2005, at his home.
Randy was born May 2, 1947, in Nashville, Tenn., to Thomas and Rose Marie Jones. After graduating from West End High School in Nashville, he served in the U.S. Navy as a Sonarman on the U.S.S. Voge. He married Nancy Brewer on March 29, 1969, in Basking Ridge, N.J. When he was discharged from the Navy, they returned to Tennessee, where he worked in construction with his father before moving his family to Missouri in 1981. He continued working as a carpenter until he began his employment at the Wal-Mart Distribution Center in Harrisonville in maintenance, about four years ago, a job he enjoyed very much until his death.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife, Nancy; daughter, Holly McKinley and her husband Clint of Schell City; son, Scott Jones of San Francisco, Calif.; sister, Gail Voss and her husband George of Waterford, Mich.; sister, Cindy Tubbs and her husband Mark of Mt. Juliet, Tenn.; two step grandchildren, Wade and Hanna McKinley; three nieces, two nephews, one great-niece and four great-nephews.
As was his wish, he will be cremated, and there will be no formal funeral service. Friends are invited to share memories and celebrate his life with his family on Wednesday, December 21, from 1 until 2:30 p.m. at his home near Taberville.
