RAYMOND C. HARPER

Raymond Charles Harper, 90, of Leavenworth, Kansas, formerly of
Osceola, Missouri, and Buena Park, California, passed away Tuesday,
April 8, 2008 at the Medicalodge of Eudora, Kansas. Funeral services
will be held at the Sheldon- Goodrich Funeral Home in Osceola,
Missouri, at 11 a.m. on April 19, 2008. Burial will follow at the
Humansville, Missouri Cemetery. The visitation will be from 7:00 to
8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home. Raymond was born July
30, 1917 in Gerster, Missouri, to Richard Charles and Matilda Jane
Harper. He graduated from Humansviille High School. He served in the
United States Army during World War II. He later graduated from
Central Bible Institute in Springfield, Missouri. He lived for many
years in California with his family and retired from McDonald Douglas
Aircraft. He spent many years working in the local Assembly of God
Church where he resided. Mr. Harper was preceded in death by his wife,
Clara, and a son, Timothy; his parents; brothers Nolan John and Joy;
and sisters Laura, Elmyra and Neva. He is survived by sons Joe (wife
Kathie) and Tom (wife Rosie); daughter Bonnie Bathuly (husband Walter)
and Ruth Brewer (husband Geoff); brother R.C. and sister Betty
Ellsworth; grandchildren Rachel, Michelle, Melissa, Aaron, Rebekah,
Nathan, Patrick, Jonathon, and LaVona; and great- grandchildren,
Dustin, Taylor, Juliana, Tyson, Alejandra, Jonathon, Katelyn and
Gwynevere. He is also survived by several step-grandchildren and great
grandchildren.
