Danny Eugene Martinez was born Feb. 25, 1950, in Hutchinson, Kansas to Serafin and Jessie Martinez. He passed away Aug. 6, 2008 in his home after a brief illness.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Serafin and Jessie Martinez; his brotherss, Joe, Robert and Jack Martinez; brother-in-law Marc Lloyd and nephew Jackson Plumlee.

Danny is survived by his wife, Virginia; his daughter Lavon and husband, Tim Orrell, and their son Ryan; his son Robert Johnson and wife, Cia; his brother Eddie Martinez; sisters Cecilia Lloyd and Mary and her husband Jim Reinhart; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services were held Monday, Aug. 11, at the St. Catherine's Catholic Church with Father Phil Egan officiating. Casketbearers were: Joe Hubbard, Jim Reinhart, James Reinhart, Mike Stomp, Larry Dutcher and Tim Orrell. Ryan Orrell was an honorary casketbearer.
