MILDRED F. KAUFFMAN

Mildred Fern Kauffman was born on Jan. 11, 1913 near Weaubleau. She
was one of three daughters born to Fred and Mary Chaney Deafenbaugh.
She passed from this life at the age of 96 on March 11, 2009.
On Nov. 6, 1929 Mildred was united in marriage to Ben Kauffman. This
union was blessed with two children, Wilma Ilene and Willard Curtis.
Mildred and Ben made their home on their farm on Weaubleau Creek for
51 years and after Ben passed, Mildred continued to live in the home
they shared for 11 more years.
Mildred was preceded in death by her husband Ben and one sister
Tressie Moore.
She is survived by one daughter, Wilma Green, of Independence; one
son, Willard Kauffman and wife Juanita of Collins, and her sister,
Mabel June Shryer of Richmond; grandchildren, Robert Green of
Indeopendence and Brenda Jenkins and husban Rick; two
great-grandchildren Patrick and Tiffany Jenkins of Greenwood.
Services were Saturday, March 14 at 2 p.m. at Sheldon-Goodrich Chapel.
Minister was Rev. Gary Strickland. Music was "In The garden" and
"Precious Memeories" by Donna Carney, soloist and Gail Ingle,
accompanist.
Casketbearers were Rick Jenkins, Patrick Jenkins, Bob Green, Alvin
Kauffman, Calvin Kauffman and Ivan Kauffman.
Interment at Robinson cemetery. Arrangements by Sheldon-Goodrich
Funeral Home, Osceola.
