The McFerrin cabin, where John Younger was brought mortally wounded in a fight in 1874, stands decaying and rarely visited, north of Roscoe. It was the second old home to be visited by members of the St. Clair County Historical Society recently on a Sunday tour. Nearby is the stone monument that marks the spot where Younger was wounded.
