BROWN
Submitted 3/08/09 by Bob Woolery
I have been researching an ancester by the name of David Erasmus
Brown. I have found some info that he had served as Pvt. in Co D, St. Clair Co.,
MO Militia. He was born in 1827 and is buried in Mayes Co. OK in the Ross-Mayes
cemetery in 1910. I found this info and more at
http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Forest/7014/OKVetsBro.html.
Any info would be greatly appreciated, to include but not limited to their
campaigns, etc..
Thank you very much, Bob Woolery.

VANDERBURG

Looking to verify, or disprove, some info I just found. Not sure of the source, but stated that H.P. Vanderburg, or Herbert P. Vanderburg, as it should be, was murdered during a possible robbery, outside of Osceola while fishing. He was struck with a hammer. It would have been after 1885, since his youngest was born that year, but I'm not sure of the exact year. I've searched your site and found no Vanderburgs. Can you give me any help on this? Thanks.

I am doing some research on a place that used to be called Iuka Springs. I was wanting any info about the mill that used to be there or the family of Martin S. Boot (Boot's Mill) then it was Blakely's Mill. I would gladly pay for photo copies of pix or anything else of interest on the place. Thanks.
