GENTRY
Submitted 11/10/05 by Virginia Gentry
I am hunting for any information on a Vennie Gentry, or maybe a Glenna
Gentry. She lived in a "home" in the early to mid 50's in Osceola. She was
the daughter of Manson and Margaret Jane Strock Gentry. Jerry can remember
stopping to visit her when he was small. They say she was "silly". Some of
her brothers and sisters were Marion Earl Gentry, Ethel Gentry Elliott,
Viola Madolyn Gentry Gatewood, David Sailor Gentry, Charlotte Gladys Gentry
Lewis, George A Gentry. The best I can figure out, she lived in Excelisor
Springs for a while when young and then later was moved to Osceola. Any
help will be greatly appreciated.

OOLS, OLS, AULDS, UHLES, OOLZE, ROBERTS, WALKER
Submitted 09/20/05 by Susan Heath
I have a brick wall; I am looking for William (Ools, Ols, Audlds, Oolze are
some of the spellings) and Malinda Walker. They probably married in St.
Clair around 1855. I couldn't find them in the marriages of St. Clair
(microfilm by the LDS). They are found in the 1860 Census Oseola, St. Clair
Missouri. They have disappeared in the 1870 Census. I found Malinda Walker
Ools Roberts remarried in Polk Co., Missouri. According to her 2nd
husband's civil war pension papers, Malinda was divoced around 1873. I
found William since then remarried and living in St. Clair Co. with an Ella
McNelly Cook Ools. I have also found him in the 1850 census St. Clair
Missouri living with a family named John Gash. (William was born in
Virginia and Malinda was born in Missouri.) If you have the tinest
information about this family, please e-mail me. Thanks.

READING
Submitted 08/05/05 by Fran
According to the index for the St. Clair County Missouri Obituaries
(1888-1928) available on Ancestry, the obit for Mrs. Alphere READING was
published in the February 3, 1892, issue of the St. Clair County Republican.
She died January 19, 1892. Can someone direct me to an online source or
give me the microfilm number for the St. Clair County Missouri Obituaries
(1888-1928) database. Any information is greatly appreciated as this is the
only death record I've found for her. Her son's death certificate (George
W. READING of Appleton City) indicates her name was Sarah Thorington.

WILLIAMS, WYLIE, GREEN, ELLIOTT, ADAMS
Submitted 07/06/05 by Pat
Looking for information about the marriage of Rosie/Rosa E. GREEN to
I.M.WYLIE of Chalk Level (?) in Aug. 1881. Could that be "J."M. WYLIE? I
have a copy of the marriage license.
Also looking for anything on Elijah and Elizabeth ADAMS, with children with
the surnames of ADAMS and WYLIE. One child, living with them in "Appleton"
in 1870, was my g-g-grandfather, James Martin WYLIE, b. 1853. He had
sisters: Jane or Jennie WYLIE WILLIAMS, Anna Dorcus WYLIE ELLIOTT, and
several others.
It seems the many of the families migrated to Cherokee County, KS. Did
ANYONE stay in the area?
My big brick walls: Where and when did James Martin WYLIE die? Who were
his parents -- Was Elizabeth Adams his mother? Was Rosie/Rosa E. Green (who
lived with his sister's family) the same the Rosetta Elizabeth YEAGER? who
married James Martin WYLIE?
Any help is appreciated.
