Teacher’s Institute

We have decided to hold an Institute at Appleton City, commencing on the 3rd Monday in August, to continue five days. A programme of exercises will be published the first of August. The following instructors will be present:

Miss Mary E. Bryner, Miss Julia A. Thayer, H.E. Smith, S.C. Sturtevant, W.F. Williams and several other prominent teachers of this and the adjoining counties. We will try and secure accommodations for all. There will be no expense, except it be for board.

All of our teachers should make preparation to attend the whole term. If teachers wish to continue teaching, they must employ every advantage to improve themselves. Instruction will be given in all of the common branches, the work will be as practical as possible, enabling the teacher to return to his school and do better work than he has ever done before.

There will be an examination immediately after the Institute closes.
