Dr. D. S. Talbot began practicing medicine in Appleton City in 1890. He came
from the State of West Virginia. He died in 1924. He and his wife, Columbia Ann,
are buried in Appleton City Cemetery.

Mr. Arthur Talbot who is now doing tonsorial work at Montrose spent Sunday in
our city visiting his parents, Dr. and Mrs. D.S. Talbot.

Mr. Robert Talbot and wife, of Estridge, Kans., arrived in our city last
Thursday night for a few weeks visit with his parents, Dr. and Mrs. D.S. Talbot.
Mesdames J.R. Carter, Lee Talbot, Eva Grob and D.S. Talbot returned Wednesday
noon from Clinton at which place they had been attending a missionary meeting of
the M.E. Church.

Dr. D.S. Talbot departed Monday evening for St. Louis where he will attend a
medical convention. He was accompanied by Mrs. Robert Talbot, who will visit
some time with a sister.
Appleton City Tribune, 25 May 1909:
Dr. and Mrs. D.S. Talbot received word dated the 23rd to the effect that their
daughter, Mrs. C.H. Potter, of Keyser, West Virginia, was to undergo an
operation for appendicitis the following day. Her many friends in our city hope
for a successful operation and complete recovery.
