DR. WILLIAM HENRY TROLINGER (1827 - 1895)


William Henry Trolinger was born 11 August 1827 and died 29 October 1895 in Grayson County, Texas. He was the son of Henry T. & Attelia White (Cecil) Trolinger. He married Mary (Thompson) Montgomery, widow of James Montgomery. Seven children were born to this marriage: Henry Judson, Elizabeth Medora, Lilla May, Harry, Fannie, H.L., and Cora Estelle. Dr. William H. & Mary Trolinger are buried in Oakwood Cemetery, Grayson County, TX.

William Henry Trolinger graduated from medical school in Louisville, KY. Married Mary Thompson Montgomery, widow of James Montgomery in St. Clair Co., MO. They had ten children, two of whom were living at his death in 1895. Served as surgeon in Confederate Army, was a member of Texas Legislature from Grayson County. Respected and prominent physician of Whitesboro, TX, trustee of an orphanage for many years. Two of his children survived: H.L., a doctor who lived in San Antonio, TX and Cora, who lived at Whitesboro.

Married Attelia White Cecil 8 June 1826 in Dublin, VA. Attelia was the daughter of Phillip & Mary (Wygal) Cecil.
Moved to Missouri in 1832.
