At a Circuit Court Commenced and held at the dwelling house of William Gash Esquire in the County of St. Clair and State of Missouri on the 29th day of March in the year of our Lord 1841 –

Petition for Partition of Land
This day comes the said Philips Crow and Henry W. Crow and filed herein their petition setting forth among other things that the said Philips Crow, Henry W. Crow, and Lelia V. Crutchfield infant heir of Richard P. Crutchfield deceased are the equal part owners of a Certain Portion of the North West fractional quarter of Section No. Twenty in Township No. Thirty eight, Range No. Twenty five West South of the Osage river in the County of St. Clair in the State of Missouri whereupon the Court appointed Pleasant M. Cox guardian of the said Lelia V. Crutchfield was qualified accordingly and it is further ordered by the Court that the said Pleasant M. Cox enter into a bond in the State of Missouri in the sum of Fifteen hundred dollars Conditioned as the Law demands and thereupon the said Pleasant M. Cox filed here in court his said bond with securities deemed good and Sufficient by the Court and of which bond the Court approves. And thereupon comes further the parties aforesaid And the Said Pleasant M. Cox Says he Cannot deny but admits that the Statements in said petition are True. And it being ascertained and determined by the Court that the Said Henry W. Crow & Philips Crow and Lelia V. Crutchfield are Equal owners of said Land it is ordered and determined by the Court that partition of said lands be made according to their respective rights, And the Court therefore Appointed William D. McCullock, John T. McClain and Abner C. Tyree respectable free holders and residents of the said County of St. Clair Commissioned to make partition of the land aforesaid according to the respective rights and interests of the parties so ascertained and determined as aforesaid, and the said commissioners having filed here in Court their Oaths by them Subscribed and made pursuant to Law, they the said Commissioners report herein to the Court in writing and

State herein that partition of the premises Cannot be made without prejudice to the owners – Therefore it is ordered adjudged and decreed by the Court that the Sheriff of St. Clair County Shall proceed to Sell Said land to the highest bidder on a credit of Twelve months at the Town of Osceola in said County of St. Clair so soon as he conveniently can first giving four weeks notice of the time and place and terms of sale by six hand bills and Signed by him and put up in public places in different parts of said County It is further ordered by the Court here that the said Sheriff take bonds for the purchase Money thereof with three good securities and when the purchase money shall be so secured the said Sheriff is Ordered to make a deed to the purchaser or purchasers.

Ordered that Court adjourn untill Court in Case.
