Petition for Divorce
Now at this day comes the said plaintiff by his attorney and files his Petition verified by affidavit The object and general nature of which is to obtain a divorce from the bonds of matrimony heretofore contracted with said Defendant And It appearing from the affidavit of said Plaintiff that said Defendant is not a resident of this state It is therefore ordered by the clerk of said court in vacation that said defendant be notified that said Plaintiff has filed his petition praying the court to

dissolve the bonds of Matrimony heretofore contracted between the parties upon the Ground of willful desertion. And that unless she appear at our circuit court to be begun and held at the court house in the Town of Osceola on the first Monday in November next and on or before the third day thereof plead answer or demur to said petition the same will be taken as confessed. And it is further ordered that a copy of this order be published for Eight weeks Successively in “The Osceola Independent” a newspaper published in Osceola St. Clair county Mo.
