Joshua William "J. W." Ellis & Penelope Seymour Stuart.

They moved to St. Clair Co., MO with Penlope's mother and family. Joshua Ellis owned land around St. Clair Co., MO. He bought land from his mother-in-law, Clarissa Mitchener Stuart.

Penelope died somewhere between St. Clair Co., MO and Washington Co., AR. Possibly with their last child. Joshua Ellis remarried in Washington Co., AR to Mary Elizabeth Burroughs Wortham.

They were on the 1860 St. Clair Co., MO census. It is believed that all of their children were born in MO. J. W. Ellis remarried in Washington Co AR around 1873.
