My name is Jane Elizabeth Bunch. I live in Lowery City, Mo. I was born in 1848.

My father died in 1863 in St. Clare Co., Mo. He was born in Va. in 1808 and He
lived in Va. until
he came to Saline Co., Mo. and then to Henry Co., Mo. and to St. Clare where he
lived the rest
of his life. My father's name was John Carr Bunch. My father had a brother named

Bunch, who is the grandfather of applicant #19507. David Anderson Bunch was born
in Va. He was
younger than my father. I don't remember hearing my father speak of a Treaty in
1835. He lived with
the white people. He never lived with the Cherokees as a member of the tribe as
I remember of.
The Cherokees used to come and camp right near our place. I never heard my
father speak of an
enrollment of 1851. My father did not claim to be related to any other tribe of
Indians other than the
Eastern Cherokees. My mother was related to the Chickasaw Tribe of Indians. I
have a brother living
in Kansas named Samuel Parker Bunch #44416.
